Classical Homeschooling

Classical homeschooling is another of the approaches to home education. It is based on the principle that different stages of a child’s development are best suited for different types of academic instruction. For example, during a child’s early school years, rote memorization comes more easily, and thus these years are spent absorbing facts and laying the groundwork for future study. In later stages, students learn to develop critical thinking skills and how to express themselves. Classical homeschooling also typically emphasizes the study of ancient languages, mythology, and classical writers such as Homer, Virgil, etc.
